A trela !Dani Graves, de 25 anos, e Tasha Maltby, de 19, são um casal de namorados gótico de Dewsbury, norte de Inglaterra. No passado fim-de-semana foram impedidos de viajar num autocarro porque Dani passeia a sua namorada de trela.
A BBC News conta que o casal acusa a transportadora Arriva de discriminação. O condutor do autocarro rejeitou a entrada de Dani e Tasha, alegando que a trela iria por em risco a segurança dos restantes passageiros em caso de travagem brusca.
O caso está a ser investigado pela Arriva, empresa «que leva muito a sério qualquer acusação de discriminação», segundo um responsável da empresa, Paul Adcock.
Adcock acrescentou que a Arriva irá «pedir desculpa a Dani Graves por algum inconveniente causado pela forma como o assunto foi tratado».
Para Tasha Maltby, este foi um caso «claro de discriminação, quase como um crime de ódio», contou ao Daily Mail.
A jovem de 19 anos descreve-se como um «animal de estimação humano».
«Comporto-me como um animal e tenho uma vida bastante calma. Não cozinho nem faço limpezas e não vou a lado nenhum sem o Dani», explicou.
Tasha defende o seu estilo de vida acrescentando que «não fere ninguém» e que o casal é feliz assim, independentemente de quão estranha esta relação pareça.

The black-clad couple said they had been told to leave one bus and prevented from boarding another.
The bus firm said safety came first, but it was investigating the complaint.
Mr Graves told BBC Look North: "We're used to strange looks, we're used to comments.
"But we didn't expect it from someone like that. They're providing a public service. We had our bus passes, we did everything that you are supposed to do to get on a bus."
Miss Maltby said she came up with the idea to wear a dog lead, and said previous boyfriends had called her a "weirdo" when she suggested it.

He said: "You wouldn't expect your cat or dog to do the washing up or cleaning round the house."
Firm apology Bus operator Arriva claimed other passengers could be put at risk if the bus braked sharply.
Operations director for Arriva Yorkshire, Paul Adcock, said: "Arriva takes any allegation of discrimination very seriously and have interviewed the driver regarding Mr Graves' claims.
"Our primary concern is passenger safety and while the couple are very welcome to travel on our buses, we are asking that Miss Maltby remove her dog lead before boarding the bus.
